One of the most common questions homebuyers have is: “How long does a home inspection take?”
The answer, of course, depends on the size and condition of the home.
A home inspection typically takes 2–3 hours, but can take longer for larger or more complex homes.
During the inspection, a professional inspector will examine the major components of the home, such as the:
- roof
- facade
- windows and doors
- carpentry
- foundation
- plumbing
- electrical
- heating and cooling systems
… to identify any potential issues or problems. After the inspection is complete, the inspector will provide a detailed report outlining their findings.
You will receive the inspection report within two weeks of the inspection.
If there are legal issues involved, the municipal architect may prolong this period, but we will provide you with all available information while we wait for possibly missing details.
