Water is one of buildings´ biggest enemies.
Even the smallest fissure or hole in a wall or roof can cause major damage and unease. Cellars or partly underground walls and even underground garages can become hard to fix if humidity is an issue.
In many parts of Spain, the summer heat dries everything and a hand of fresh paint makes houses look clean and dry. But when the rain hits, many homes show their otherwise hard to see face: straight out leaks, humid walls or even flooded cellars with fungus and all that comes with it.
So use this time of the year to shop for a home, even if it´s ment for the summer months during vacation or retirement!
