Since especially the young have rushed to the bigger cities around the country, villages were left to the older generations and are in many cases completely abandoned.
For us digital nomads, that´s a tremendous opportunity – which is now amplified by tax incentives.
The houses are obviously old and run down, missing roofs and modern installations. But even that is great!
For very little money, you get a house. Just make sure the legal and structural base is solid. From there, you can easily make yourself a beautiful, cosy home – and workplace – you can call your own.
